Melanie Cardona Vélez is a graduate of the Criminal Justice program at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. During her time as an undergrad student, she earned three certifications within the field of writing. In 2022, she had her first article published in Panochazine's Food Issue for the month of September. Melanie currently lives in the city of Camuy, PR with her family. When not writing, she can be found obsessing over K-pop, binge watching her favorite shows, listening to music, or reading a good book. Kingdom of the Forsaken Saint is her debut romantic fantasy novel.
